Thursday Swim 8-30 Agenda
Hi Most Awesome Team in the World,
Some expectations for practices moving forward.
1. Do not change in the toilet stalls. Some people have to pee!
2. Leave school immediately so you can get to practice on time.
3. Make the most of your practice. If it is too easy, then you might be cheating. Quality vs Quantity. If the practice has 50's from the block, sprint them so you are getting that heart beat up. I was a competitive swimmer since I was literally a toddler. I know how to cheat on a practice.
4. Be patient. As the numbers go down, you will be getting longer workouts. At this time, make the most of your workout. If you are diving off the block, dive like it is the most important dive of your life. If I say do dry land in between sets, do dry land drills. I shouldn't have to come over and yell at you to motivate you.
5. Favorite workouts - For years and years, I have asked swimmers to give me their favorite workouts and I will make sure to try to get it into practice. Just let me know.
TODAY'S AGENDA
Group A is with Coach Erin in the shallow end. Please, be kind to her as she had a root canal yesterday and is in a little pain. She will go over your sets with you directly. Meet her in the shallow.
Group B is with Coach Kim and Me - Coach Kayla has created these sets. Come to Lanes 3, 4, 5, and 6 go over workout.
Group C is with Coach Katryna to work on form and starts in Lanes 1 & 2. I will be taking a few of you over into the B group. She will go over your sets directly.
At 4 pm - Let's meet as a group at the mat. Some of you will go up for dry land. Some of you I need to talk to about a few things.
