Hi!

Well, that was a really fun swim meet! If we get invited again next year, I hope more will go. 

We placed 2nd! I have loaded the results with splits. If you do not see a time, it is because you didn't hit the pad hard enough. But do not fear, 4 coaches worked to get all of your splits and Coach Erin is putting together a spread sheet.

Qualifiers:

• Congratulations to Stella Cross for qualifying for Districts in the 200 Free with 2:04.09, 50 Free with 26.39, and 100 Free with 57.90.
• Congratulations to Alana Ross for qualifying for Metros in the 50 Free with 30.89 and the 100 Free with 1:08.53.
• Congratulations to Stina Almgren for qualifying for Metros in the 100 Back with 1:20.30.

Note: Only the lead swimmers could get qualifying times for individual events.

Highlights: I have to say the highlight of the meet was the innertube relays. All the schools were super serious about this innertube race and had obviously practiced! We did not practice. So, when we couldn't get our swimmer Kai in the innertube and it kept flipping over, all we could do was laugh until we all cried. Thank you Kai for being such a good sport. Every time I thought about it last night, I would giggle.

Other highlights were just getting to see you all swim. We, coaches, thought everyone did an amazing job especially for the first meet. We definitely could work on starts, turns, and touches on all levels. Every second counts. Everyone should be using YouTube and the Internet to research how to do a faster starts, faster transitions, faster turns and faster touches. 

Disqualifications: They only gave us one disqualification although I spotted a lot more. Please, remember, it is against NFHS rules to wear a bathing suit with a tie back.

Great first swim meet! Thank you to all the athletes that attended and thank you to all the parents that dedicated their Saturday to go to Bainbridge.
