First day of SWIVE Important Information
The first day of SWIVE practice is Monday! (attached to this email is an updated Meet Schedule and roster)
Things to bring: one-piece swim suit, goggles, Holy Names swim cap or unmarked cap. No club gear. Towel and shampoo. Phone or lap top and ear phones for study time.
Meeting Place after school: The captains will meet with the upper classmen on the front lawn to go over carpools after school at 12:30 pm. Sophomores and Freshmen are getting photos. When you are done, come join your teammates on the front lawn.
A bus will take the freshmen and some sophomores to Seattle University Redhawk Center. There are 14 spots available on the bus. The freshmen will get first choice. At this time, I do not believe we have transportation back to the school.
Seattle University Redhawk Center (550 14th Ave, Seattle):
- You must have your form filled out for the Seattle U waiver. It is kind of a three-step process. First, you make an account. Then, you wait for a confirmation email. Last, you click on the link again to sign the waiver.
- All User Groups enter through the South end of the Facility next to SU’s Parking Lot on 14th. Facility staff will be there to check names of those who have filled out waivers to let them through. Staff will be there from 2:50 pm to 3:05 pm and then they will close the doors, so do not be late.
- Parents please pick your daughters up from Seattle U at 4:30 pm unless other arrangements have been made. Please, do not be late. I have an hour drive to get home.
Coaches Expectations and General Rules: Please, read the Coaches Expectations and Rules and sign f. I am giving you a link to fill out a Goal Survey. At the end of the survey, it asks if you have read the Rules. You must fill this out within the first week, in order to continue to swim or dive.
Cuts: If I find that you are not focused and distract other swimmers who are trying to work or you do not follow the rules, I will give you one warning and then cut you from the team. We do not have the space for anyone who is not taking swim team seriously this year.
Here is the link to the survey:
I am looking so forward to meeting all of you who are new and can’t wait to see everyone returning. I have missed you all so much and can’t wait to have another great season with THE BEST TEAM IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!
Blessings,
Coach Loy
