As most of you know, after being gone for many years, Coach Jen Kelly has returned to SWIVE to help with this awesome team. She works with us on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Here is a short bio in her words. We are so very thankful to have such a wonderful and experience coach!

"I am excited to be back to coaching the HNA swim team after a long break from
coaching! I was the former head coach at HNA from 1997-2003, then assistant
coach until 2011. During those years HNA won many Metro League titles, one State title & sent many swimmers on to swim competitively in college. Early in my years as Head coach, I was honored to receive the Metro League Coaches Award.

Well before coaching at HNA, I was fortunate to have parents who taught me to swim
at a young age. I grew up swimming summer league in Seattle & then had the
pleasure of swimming under Mike McCloskey at Seattle Prep from 1988-1992,
earning Varsity letter all four years. Through high school and college my
summer job was lifeguarding & teaching swim lessons, which inspired my
future coaching. For several summers, I enjoyed coaching Blue Ridge summer
league and had many young swimmers who became swimmers and students of mine at
HNA.

In my adult life, I continue to swim competitively, competing in triathlons and
swimming with a Master’s swim group for the past 16 years.

I am honored to have taught at HNA since 1997 & over the years I have enjoyed
teaching & coaching many student-athletes."
