Swim and Dive 2020 News
Hello,
Normally, at this time I would be reminding everyone to register for Family ID, turn in athletic release forms, and register for SwimTopia.
I also would be saying one last goodbye to our Seniors as they prepare for their next step in life.
I still will say those things... But I wanted to send you this email as many of you may have heard by now that we may or may not be part of Season 1 of the new WIAA sports seasons. I am attaching the letter I received from WIAA tonight.
I thought I should pass this information on to you in case you do another sport and may have to make a choice. If you still plan to do swim and dive, please know that I will do everything I can to be creative in ways we can use the limited pool resources that we may encounter.
Here is the New Season Information for 2020. Registration is now open on SwimTopia and Family ID if you have not done so already:
- Register for Family ID for this year. Go to Family ID at http://www.familyid.com/holy-names-academy. You have to do this every year!
- Make sure you have a current physical. Physicals are good for 18 months. Go to WIAA Sports Physical Form to download a pdf file to take to your doctor.
- Please, register for SwimTopia, our swim website. To get register for Swimtopia, which everyone needs to do whether you were registered last year or not, go to http://holynames.swimtopia.com
- Go to the Home Page and click on Registration. Parents should register as this is how we sign up for swim meets and how I communicate with you.
- Meet schedule is posted on www.metroleaguewa.org. Please, join in order to get updated changes to the schedule as well as results.
Seniors - I deeply wish the best for you! You are our future leaders and 2020 is going to make you even stronger and more determined to come up with better solutions and better ways to show how much we truly love and care about each other. We will miss you so much. Please, come visit some day.
Freshmen - Welcome to the most awesome group of people I have ever met. You are very lucky as this team is talented, fun and caring. Everyone has a safe place here to enjoy the sport of swimming and diving from the beginner to the advance.
Returning Players - In my happiest dreams, we get to be together dancing on the deck, singing our team cheer, and enjoying the weightlessness of the water as we swim and dive to better our minds, our hearts and our bodies.
I won't be truly happy until I see all your smiling faces again!
May this letter find you and your families in good health!
Sincerely,
Coach Rachel Loy
