Out of Season Practices
Hi All,
Just wanted to touch base with Swim and Dive information. We had a meeting last night with all of the other coaches. Here is some important information you need to know.
1. MOST IMPORTANT - If you plan to do Swim and Dive, you will need to register for the 2020 Out-of-Season even if you do not plan to practice until March 3rd (when our season begins), EVEN if you are already registered for the 2020 Fall Athletic Registration Swim & Dive. Thank you to those who have already registered for the Out of Season.
2. The Out-of-Season begins September 27th to November 30th. I, personally, am not ready to start on September 27th. We have had a family tragedy and I will be driving out to Colorado and won't be back until the 3rd. I also need to go through coaches training for COVID-19 and other WIAA schooling.
3. Also, I need to meet with our coaches and our captains to put together an agenda to decide how we would like to proceed. And if you heard the rumor that Coach Kim Draggoo is returning after a year off, you have heard correctly. Yay!
4. I will put together a survey to see what would work for all of you. I recognize that some of you are in multi-sports and may not be able to do both. I was thinking of maybe doing a combination of meeting in person and Microsoft teams.
5. If you know of any outdoor pools that are staying open for an extended season and you have an in with them, please let me know! Unfortunately, the pool I manage is under construction and is no longer open. Even if we could just get in on a Saturday morning, that would be so helpful.
6. Finally, we have an option to continue practicing after the Out-of-Season date. It just has to be non sport specific to swim and dive and open to all.
This is all I have for now. If you have not registered for SwimTopia, please remember to do so. Also, get those sports physicals. The good news is they are now good for 24 months!

I miss all of you and hope you and families are doing well!
