Varsity Lettering Criteria for 2021 and Email from our Athletic Director
I am attaching a letter from Mrs. London that she would like everyone to read before practice on Monday.
Next week, on Friday, our athletic trainer will be visiting us for a question and answer session. If you have scheduled yourself for that practice, please think of some questions you may have regarding swim specific injuries. She will be teaching us some exercises to do for shoulder, back, and knee injuries.
Finally, please review the following if you would like to Varsity Letter. At this time, we are not requiring swimmers or divers make Metros, since there will no Metros this year.
LETTERING CRITERIA FOR SWIM AND DIVE (MODIFIED 2021 SEASON)
All athletes are expected to do goal setting with the help of the coaches (IE – completing 500 in under 8 minutes, competing in the 100 fly, 6 dives, time goals, difficult dives).
- Goals must be submitted by March 8th for Coach Loy’s approval.
- 2 or more practices a week (athlete may be excused a practice but athlete must ask Coach Loy in writing)
- No unexcused absences
- Consistently strives to improve times or dives
- Participation in Time Trials or Dual Meet
- Goal accomplishment
