Captain practices and regular practices
Hi,
We are close to finalizing our swim practices. Please, continue to try to attend the captain's practices. These will help you get back in touch with your teammates and get you ready for getting back into the water. If you cannot make the practices and do not have access to a pool, I recommend taking up the sport of running. Running translates very well for the muscles needed for swimming. I also recommend burpees, pushups, and sit-ups. But why do it alone when you can join a group of friends to help motivate you.
To find out when and where the captain's practices are, you need to load the Heja App. We will be using this app again for practices.

If you have not registered for Family ID, it is that time. Also, please make sure you have an up to date physical well before August 23rd.
Here is our pre-season practice schedule:
Pre-season at Rainier Beach:
M-F August 23rd to September 3rd, 3 pm to 4 pm.
Regular Season at Medgar Evers:
M-Th September 7th to November 11th, 5:45 am to 7:15 am or possibly 5:30 am to 7:00 am.
We are working on getting afternoon practices at Medgar Evers as well but they would only be from 3 pm to 4 pm and most likely would not be coached by me as I would do the morning practices.
I will have more information shortly. I am currently managing a pool and have limited time, so I apologize if I am not sending out as much information as I normally do.
