Summer SWIVE Retreat, swim suits, REGISTRATION
Hello,
It is that time of year. Seems early but it is time to Register for Swim and Dive Team. Please, do so ASAP as we have lots of information to get out to you all. But FIRST…
Happy Graduation: Our seniors are graduating this Sunday. We wish them much luck and will miss them dearly. Thank you for all the fun times! Have a great summer and keep swimming. Visit anytime!
Summer Retreat: This summer we are planning some fun events, the main one being a Summer Retreat at Seward Park, August 19th from 1 pm – 3 pm.
Bathing Suits: If you did not get a Jolyn bathing suit last year or know someone who is joining swim team, one of our Captains, Rayna, is trying to get sizes. Rayna needs this information asap as she is going to going out of town and needs to coordinate with Jolyn to get updated pricing.
From Rayna: We are planning on ordering Jolyn swimsuits; you’ll find the designs and sizing chart linked below. While it’s not required, we highly recommend buying a team swimsuit because team spirit is a big part of our competitions. Last year the suits were around $70, but pricing is still being determined for this year. If you are interested in ordering, please fill out the form below.
We would like to order these suits as soon as possible, so please fill out this form by May 27th.
REGISTRATION:
Here are the steps. Do this as soon as you can so we have an updated Roster:
1.Register for FinalForms. Go Eligibility & Registration for Holy Names Academy Athletics (holynames-sea.org)
2.Make sure you have a current physical. Physicals are good for 24 months. Go to WIAA Sports Physical Form to download a pdf file to take to your doctor.
3.Please, register for SwimTopia, our swim website. To get register for Swimtopia, which everyone needs to do whether you were registered last year or not, go to http://holynames.swimtopia.com
4.Go to the Home Page and click on Registration. Parents also register as this is how we sign up for swim meets and how I communicate with you.
5.Upload the Heja app. This is how we schedule practices and send out quick information. https://heja.io/download/EK781066
The following is our preliminary schedule.
As you register for Swimtopia, you will fill out forms that you understand our rules and policies. On the first day of swim practice, we will go over these again so that everyone is on the same page. NOTE: We are no longer doing mandatory Thursdays.

Parent Volunteers – We are going to have the parents be more involved with planning events after swim meets this year. And hope to make the season more fun for everyone. We have such a great team and do not get to spend time with each other due to the time restraints on the meets. Hopefully, we can plan some more social time, so we can get to know each other better. At our first meeting, we will be looking for officials, timers, and stroke and turn refs and will try to do assignments before the meets.
Upcoming Information – We are in the process of planning a fun service event to do this summer as well as deciding on some new jackets and Swive wear for the team!!!
Okay, this is the update for now. Please, get registered on Swimtopia and Heja so that we can more information out to you this summer before the season begins.
Looking forward to 2023 SWIVE!
Sincerely - Coach Rachel Loy
