Hi SWIVE families, your daughter completed our first week of practice! All the coaches have been impressed with their skills and endurance in the water. With their dedication and hard work, we have seen this week, we are hoping to see lots of fast swimming throughout the season.

Thanks for all the families that showed up at the Sports Night last night. We talked about:

• The communication that will be used during the season, which aligns with what Ms. London (HNA’s Athletic Director) described for all sports teams. I will be communicating with families by email and Microsoft Teams with the athletes.
• Once our athlete roster is stable, I will be sending out a list of all parent emails for you all to communicate HNA SWIVE matters with each other. Please do not use the list for any other purpose. If you would like to remove your email from the list, please notify me by Friday, September 5.
• We covered our practice progression for the season. The coaches have developed a program where each week builds on the last so that each athlete can develop the necessary skills to advance as a swimmer. Coach Hannah also talked about our approach in diving and how she helps them to grow as divers too.
• Job sign-ups for meets will be available starting next week on SwimTopia.com. They are found under the calendar section for each meet. Please check out the different jobs (mostly timers). Our swimmers need parent and family help for the meets to happen.
• On SwimTopia I have a link to SwimOutlet.com where our suits and other equipment for practice can be found. Please purchase required equipment as soon as possible (snokels, paddles, fins, and kick boards). Having the equipment will help each girl get the most out of the practice.

On Monday, September 1, the team will be hiking at Snoqualmie Falls. Our Athletic Director, Lacey London sent out a permission slip for each of the swimmers to sign before Monday. We will be meeting at 10am. Hope to see you there!
