    This week in SWIVE 9/29-10/3

    Hi SWIVE families,

We are on a winning streak! Three meets and three wins! We have the most amazing team. At practices the girls are showing hard work, and it is paying off. They have been putting a lot of work into stroke technique and endurance. The girls have become a strong community too. The captains set up “secret sisters” themselves and I witnessed it at the meet. They really enjoy pepping each other up.

During the meets, I also noticed them cheering each other on at the end of the lane or the side of the lane. Everyone is encouraged by everyone. And at the end of the meet they give each other kudos with a celebration circle, it makes me so happy to see how much they care for each other. If you have not made it to a meet yet, please come. Your daughter is part of a wonderful team and community.

The is one tiny change this week, for coaches, not for you! Coach Jen and I will be switching days we are guiding strength training. I will be doing strength training on Monday afternoon at HNA, at 3:00pm. Coach Jen will be doing strength training on Wednesday, also at 3:00pm.

Looking ahead to our next home meet, Friday, Oct. 24, it will be Senior Night! Lila Levinson and the other junior captains are raising money to get the seniors a nice gift. Please read the message below and help us celebrate the many seniors we have on our team.

Hi everyone! This is your junior captains! We are sending out this note to let everyone know that the junior captains are raising money for our Senior Night. If you don't know, Senior Night is an event where we celebrate our seniors with gifts and appreciate everything they've done for the team during their time at HNA! This year our senior night will be on the night of the meet against Seattle Prep, which will be on October 24, the last meet we'll have as a whole team before Metros!

We're hoping to raise enough money to get each senior a gift. Our seniors make up over a third of our team so we would love if you could donate 20 dollars as a starting point and more if you're willing. All of the proceeds will help us to celebrate our seniors in the best way possible. You can pay with either cash and bring it to practice then hand it off to one of the junior captains (Serena M, Claire H, Lila L, or Rhea O) or send money directly to Lila's Venmo (@lilaemiko). People who have donated already are super appreciated! ❤️
Thanks so much!! We can't wait for Senior Night this year!!

Thank you for all you support. Let me know if you have any questions!

    Warmly,

    Coach Stacy
